For me, painting is a celebration of life and how light and color interact.  I always approach my work with enthusiasm and energy. Painting feels like a rather intimate experience as I spend an inordinate amount of time with each work - from the original photography sessions through the visualization exercise to the initial sketches and beyond. Whole process is a life experience which gives happiness and strength to live.

My latest work is just playing with acrylic paint- trying out textures and combining run, drip, flow effects.  I usually use these as a background  in each case, I imagine what would best go with the semi-accidentally achieved background – so the process is an adventure rather than a contrived painting from the beginning!

Painting takes me out of plainness of life, and helps me appreciate beauty, colors, as well as soothes me.  Though I have not achieved the high standards of painting but even my attempts make me realize that there is something else beyond this material world.

Teaching is my passion. I can't imagine my life without teaching. I love the fact that I'm able to share my love of art with my students and help them grow as artists and creative thinkers. Teaching Art has added purpose and meaning to my life. I'm thankful I get to spend my days sharing my passion for art with others who continuously inspire me with their efforts and creativity.
